Kieran Borgeat

Kieran graduated from Bristol University in 2005 with an intercalated degree in Zoology and Veterinary Science. After working in general practice for 6-years, he undertook a Residency and concurrent Masters degree in cardiology at the Royal Veterinary College, London. In 2014 he was Board-certified as a Diplomate from both American and European colleges. He has worked in a variety of referral clinics, including private practice and veterinary teaching hospitals, and is currently Clinical Director at Eastcott Veterinary Referrals in the UK. He has a strong interest in feline cardiology and congenital heart disease. He has pioneered and refined the transpulmonic stent angioplasty technique for treating dogs with complex pulmonary stenosis, and led the first team in the UK to perform transcatheter edge-to-edge repair for mitral valve disease in dogs. He is Chair of the ECVIM Cardiology Credentials committee and in 2023 was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
