The city Antwerp

The Conference Centre is situated just outside of Belgiums's second largest city, Antwerp. During your free time, you wil have the chance to take in the sights and sounds of this dynamic and varied city. As one of the largest ports in the world, Antwerp is a city of great history and cultural diversity. The city is teeming with museums, churches and historical buildings; and the centre is characterised by the elegant guild houses, daling back to the Middle Ages, that stil line the streets and squares. Antwerp is also home to the enormous legacy of the 17th century Flemish painter Rubens, whose works adorn the city's galleries and churches. Antwerp also offers great shopping facilities and has recently gained the reputation as one of the fashion centres of Europe. The city also has countless bars and cafes, and one of the finest things about Antwerp is that there are over 350 delicious beers to choose from, the gourmet food is exquisite and it is impossible to find chocolates as good!
